Why RollerSkateTheWeb.com exists

Our focus is to promote jam skating any possible chance we get. We began because many rollerskating rinks have either no website at all, or not very well designed web sites. Visit www.rollerskating.com/locater.html to see the web sites from skating rinks across the country. The web site at www.champskate.com has won RSA's award for web site of the year for several years in a row. Last I checked its schedule is outdated.

We want to create a better internet for skating rinks across the country. Are you interested in helping us accomplish that mission?

What else is needed to join

Well, you've got the first part, a computer connected to the internet.

The second part would be the experience designing web sites. We need to know what you've done, or what you know, so we can give you different web sites for you to use your creative mind on. Now you don't have to know everything there is to know about web design to join. Even if you'd just designed a page on a free web page provider like Tripod or Geocities, we can help teach you to design .com and .net web pages for companies like Lotuskate, which was our first client.

If you don't have the experience, do you have the ambition to learn new things? Sound like you?

Do we get paid?

Currently this position is on a volunteer basis. The advantage is that you get to learn how to design a web site for a company and you can show the work you've done to people in the computer industry (or just your friends). This is simply an opportunity to help skating grow and increase your knowledge of web design.

If you're still interested, we'd love to have you join the team. The first step is submitting your information so we can get to know who you are and the talents you have. You should get a response from us within a week. Thanks and I hope to help expand roller skating with you on the team soon!

Keep Smiling! :)
